Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will have Front camera with Selfie Flash
Xiaomi will launch its new smartphone–Redmi Note 5A— on August 21, 2017.
The smartphone will be unveiled in Beijing at 7.30 pm, which is around 5.00 pm, Indian Standard Time.
Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun had shared exclusive pictures of the Redmi Note 5A on his official Weibo account.
The phone will come in two segments —Redmi Note 5A Pro and Redmi Note 5A Prime.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Features
Pro will include a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel while in Prime the feature will not be there.
The phones may come with three colour options — grey, rose gold and gold.
A Chinese website, TENAA, has also listed some features of the smartphone.
The report added, the company’s CEO on his Weibo account has confirmed that the top-end model
will feature a 16 MP front camera along with a selfie flash.
The website said that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A may have a 5.5-inch HD display.
The basic model will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 425 Chipset with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage whereas the top model will presumably feature octa-core Snapdragon 435 Chipset with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage.
The basic model will have a single 13-megapixel rear camera, while the front camera will remain at 5MP. Redmi Note 5A will likely run MIUI9 with Android 7.1 Nougat on top. The memory of the smartphone will expandable up to 128GB.
The Redmi Note 5A will be the first Redmi device with two dedicated SIM slots and a separate microSD one.
According to TENAA, the handset will measure 153.3×76.3×7.31mm and weight will be around 150 grams.
